It gives me immense pleasure to introduce myself to you. Briefly speaking, I, Dr. Vaibhav Wani, have studied Bachelors of Dentistry (B.D.S) from D.Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pune. Further, I completed Masters of Dentistry (M.D.S) in Preventive and Pediatric Dentistry from the same institute. Since then, I have been practicing at my clinic ‘Every Child’s Dentist’ at MICO Circle, Nashik.
There is a lack of awareness amongst the public regarding the normal dental and oral health. Healthy milk teeth help in proper chewing which not only helps in growth and development of the jaws and face of children and adolescents but is also the foundation for later erupting Permanent teeth. The public attitude especially in India is not health oriented, people will approach the dentist only when they can’t bear pain or it is an emergency situation.
As a Pediatric dentist, I strongly advocate that Pediatric dentistry not only inculcates good oral habits, develops a positive attitude, but also helps to detect early symptoms of tooth decay, bad oral hygiene, tooth caries etc. This allows recommending appropriate preventive measures, preventive treatments. I take keen interest in creating awareness and educating parents about the importance of Pediatric Dentistry with an intention of creating a carie free childhood for the upcoming generation.
